Our Story
A culinary journey from Quiroga to Chicago.
Chicagoacán was born at the crossroads of two worlds — rooted in the heart of Quiroga, Michoacán, México, and brought to life in the kitchens of Chicago. It all began with our matriarch, whose childhood was steeped in the aroma of traditional Mexican dishes, learned hand-in-hand with her mother. That same heritage now flavors every dish we create.
[A town of lake and market, Quiroga is the kind of place where carnitas are a craft and Sundays smell like wood smoke.
The recipes that matter there aren't written down — they live in the hands of the women who cook them.
That is what our mother carried north.]
Today, Chicagoacán is more than a catering service. It's a celebration of transnational migration — a tribute to the hands that carried recipes across borders and the hearts that kept traditions alive. We proudly serve as cultural stewards, blending authenticity with the modern culinary scene of Chicago. Every meal is a warm invitation to experience the richness of Mexican heritage, reimagined and rooted in love.
[For our paisanos in Chicago: we know what it means to want a taste of home in a city that doesn't always feel like one.
We cook for you. We cook as you.]
Whether you're gathering with family, hosting a corporate event, or celebrating life's milestones, we bring more than food — we bring story, soul, and sabor.
